Summary
The truth in taxation process requires the City to hold two public hearings on the tax increase proposed for fiscal year 2015. This is the first of the two hearings; the second will be held on September 22, 2015 at 7:00 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, 100 East Main Street, Suite 500. These hearings are required because the proposed tax rate for fiscal year 2016 $0.5405 is higher than the calculated effective rate and will raise more ad valorem tax revenue.

Announce that the meeting at which the City Council will vote on the tax rate will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at 6:00 p.m., at 100 East Main St, Suite 500 (Council Chambers).
