Title
Discuss and consider action to approve the commissioning of fiberglass goat sculptures by Icon Poly.
Summary
The proposed goat sculptures will serve as smaller canvases for painted works of art by other artists, providing more opportunities for emerging local and regional artists. This sculpture series, titled G.O.A.T. Trail, is initially envisioned to be located within the Downtown East development project within the pedestrian corridor by the new plaza. If the initial series is successful, there is an opportunity to expand it along Main Street in the historic core of downtown and in the nearby parks and trail system.
This proposed project aligns with the City’s tourism and promotional efforts and supports the Strategic Action Plan 2026-2030 to activate and revitalize downtown as a truly unique destination.
