Summary
The City of Pflugerville Drop by Drop program, led by Parks Community Service Coordinator Eddie Garcia, earned a regional conservation award from the Texas Recreation and Parks Society (TRAPS) on November 8 at the TRAPS regional workshop. Representatives from the CIty's Parks and Recreation Department attended the workshop to accept the award.
This is the first time Pflugerville has received a regional conservation award from TRAPS. For the award submittal, the city highlighted the successful history of the Drop by Drop landscape rebate program, the services it offers to the community and the water conservation that results from the use of native, drought-tolerant plants. The information submitted for the award is attached to this agenda item.
This presentation was postponed at the November 12, 2013 Regular City Council meeting.
