Library Expansion Project Update Number 3.
Summary
The third and final design charrette was conducted September 15-16 and concluded with a public summary workshop on the final day. Staff will present the results on these efforts representing the final schematic design of the site, elevations, and building improvements in conjunction with this item. Staff continues to negotiate a contract for owner's representative services at this time. Finally, staff is seeking verification that when preparing construction bid documents a competitive sealed proposal approach is appropriate for the implementation of the library expansion project.
Status
Preparation of the detail design and ultimately construction documents is now underway and due for completion in early 2011, consistent with the project schedule.

Fiscal Impact
The library expansion project is being funded with General Obligation Bonds ($7M) approved by Pflugerville voters in 2008.
