Summary
This agenda item requests approval to award a construction contract with McKee Utility Contractors LLC in the amount of $21,343,000.00 associated with the Wilbarger Wastewater Interceptor project. This item supports the Infrastructure pillar of the Strategic Plan.
The Wilbarger Wastewater Interceptor project includes the includes the installation of approximately 3,072 linear feet of 48-inch pipeline, 9,427 linear feet of 54-inch pipeline, various lengths of 18-inch to 36-inch wastewater pipeline installation, and steel reinforced polymer concrete manholes and a reinforced concrete diversion structure with instrumentation and controls. The project includes open cut and trenchless installation in the City of Pflugerville City Limits and Travis County Jurisdiction.
Advertisement for the project on the basis of most responsible proposer who provides the best value to the City of Pflugerville began on September 4, 2024. The City received and opened proposals on October 16, 2024. Five (5) bids were received for the Project. McKee Utility Contractors, LLC is the recommended contractor who provides the best value to the City. The design engineer has performed a reference check and staff concurs with this recommendation. The advertisement and bid procedures meet the funding requirements to ensure the City will benefit financial opportunities offered by the Texas Water Development Board.
The proposed construction duration is anticipated to be 711 days.
