Approving a professional services agreement with Colliers Engineering & Design in the amount of $269,996 for professional engineering services associated with the design and bid phase services for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Parkway Drive Street Improvement Project and, authorizing the City Manager to execute the same.
Summary
The proposed scope of engineering services includes final design, construction document preparation for Parkway Drive which will proceed to construction at a future date once CDBG or other funds are allocated for construction. The majority of funding for the design, $234,060, was allocated through the Community Development Block Grant Program Year 2023 Action Plan. The remaining balance is included with the Program Year 2024 Action Plan infrastructure project which completes the design and provides assistance with the reconstruction of the road.
Preparation of the construction documents shall include but not be limited to: engineering design, topographic survey, geotechnical investigation, identification of utility conflicts, coordination with utility companies, engineer’s opinion of probable construction cost, project manual and any other ancillary services.
This project supports the robust and resilient infrastructure of the City Council Strategic Plan.
This agreement has been reviewed and approved by the City Attorney.
Status
City staff has negotiated with Colliers Engineering & Design to establish a scope of services, schedule and fee for this agreement.
Fiscal Impact
The funding for this project has been designated as part of the Community Development Block Grant Program.
