Title
Approving a professional services supplemental agreement with Dunham Engineering in the amount of $65,000 for professional engineering services associated with the Historic Elevated Tank Rehabilitation Project, and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same.

Summary
This Professional Services Supplemental Agreement (PSSA) is to perform design services for the illumination of the Historic Elevated Tank that is located on 2nd Street to provide options to install a lighting system on the elevated tank.
As the coatings contractor for the Historic Tank Rehabilitation project is beginning to mobilize after delays, it was determined to continue to move forward to evaluate and design an illumination system that could be installed on the tank after the coatings rehabilitation is completed. The lighting system options that are to be evaluated as part of this agreement are to either illuminate the entire tank from the base to the top of the “Witch’s Hat,” or to just evaluate the upper portion of the tank without illuminating the legs.
As the City is currently working with Dunham Engineering on the rehabilitation work, it was determined that they would be able to provide these services in an expedient manner to have successive construction projects and to allow some efficiencies in performing the work. Dunham Engineering currently has the historical knowledge of the existing tank structure and also has extensive experience with historic tank sites across the State of Texas and with illuminating historic monuments such as Pflugerville’s Historic Elevated Tank.
This agreement will provide two options to be competitively bid and will allow for City staff to bring both options to City Council for final approval of the lighting scheme for the tank.
This project and agreement is planned to be funded using Hotel Occupancy Tax (HOT) funding as it aims to promote tourism to the downtown area of Pflugerville as a destination to visit.
