Discussion regarding Deutschen Pfest 2026 update.
Summary
Staff is reviewing potential updates to the Deutschen Pfest alcohol vendor policy to create a more consistent, equitable, and scalable process as the festival continues to grow. Areas under review include alcohol booth allocation, the number of participating nonprofit/vendor partnerships, minimum nonprofit contributions, selection criteria when interest exceeds available opportunities, and the City’s authority over booth placement and other operational decisions.
Staff will present the proposed framework to the Parks and Recreation Commission for discussion and feedback before a final policy is developed.
