Title
Discuss and consider action to approve the procurement of Veolia sourced membranes and membrane services in support of the Water Treatment Plant in an amount not to exceed $850,000 for FY26, and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same.
Summary
The procurement of Veolia sourced membrane modules is necessary for the Water Treatment Plant to meet water demand during peak summer use. The membrane modules are critical in continuing to extend the life of the treatment system until such a time as the Water Treatment Plant Expansion Project is completed.
Veolia is the proprietary supplier for the membrane modules currently in use at the Water Treatment Plant. Additionally, this specific membrane module is the only filtration method currently approved for use at the City’s water treatment plant by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
This item is supported by the Residential and Node Development and Economic and Business Development pillars of the Strategic Plan by continuing to maintain existing infrastructure in order to meet City water demands.
