Title

Presentation and submission of the 2023 Racial Profiling Data Report to the City Council as required by Texas Statute Code of Criminal Procedure, Chapter 2 General Duties of Officers, Art. 2.132 Law Enforcement on Racial Profiling.

Summary

Law enforcement agencies are required to compile and provide an analysis of the information gathered by the peace officers of their agency on an annual calendar year basis. After the information is analyzed, the law requires that a report of the findings be presented to the governing body of the local municipality and the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement no later than March 1 of the following year. This report satisfies that requirement. The Annual Traffic Contact Report, or Racial Profiling Report, covers the period from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023. The comprehensive analysis of the data included in this report was performed by Justice Research Consultants, LLC and demonstrates that the Pflugerville Police Department’s data is valid and reliable and the Pflugerville Police Department has complied with the Texas Racial Profiling Law and all of its requirements.
