City of Pflugerville Short Form Contract that will provide five months of right-of-way and drainage mowing services with Earth Works Landscape and Maintenance LLC, in the amount of $138,793.70.
Summary
After Wittig Holding LLC, the current contractor for Right-of-Way (ROW) and drainage mowing services, submitted a 30-day notice indicating they were unable to fulfill the remainder of their contract obligations, to ensure exigent continuity of service, Earth Works, who currently holds the City’s citywide mowing contract, agreed to assume ROW and drainage mowing responsibilities through the end of October 31, 2026.
Since April, the City reviewed mowing maps and reduced the amount of ROW acreage in the contract by removing newly developed areas, thus removing 34 acres from the city's contract from 140 acres of ROW to 106 acres.
Under this agreement, Earth Works will complete: 10 cycles of ROW mowing, and 5 cycles of drainage mowing.The total cost to complete this work is $138,793.70.

Recommended Action
Approve a five month agreement with Earth Works Landscape and Maintenance LLC, in the amount of $138,793.70 for City right-of-way and drainage mowing services and authorize the City Manager to execute the same.
