Summary
This wholesale wastewater agreement is to provide wholesale wastewater treatment services for Lakeside Municipal Utility District (MUD) # 5 as the District is part of the City’s wastewater CCN and the City has the obligation to provide wholesale wastewater services. This wholesale agreement has been modified to reflect updates requested by the City and the City’s legal team after recent discussions with City Council and the other districts the City operates.
Lakeside MUD # 5 has adopted the City’s updated rates and fees to reflect the most recent updates that were passed and enacted in December 2022 and the enacted rate order is attached. This agreement will last for 50 years and the District’s Rate Order states that they will adopt the City’s wholesale rates as they are modified as needed. For fiscal year 2023, the District has adopted a wholesale rate of $41.67/LUE in addition to the professional services fees that the City charges for operation and maintenance of the district.
