Approving the Pflugerville Community Development Corporation FY24 Proposed Budget.
Summary
According to the 2023 PCDC Bylaws "The Board shall adopt and subsequently present to City Council for approval, an annual budget illustrating anticipated revenues and proposed expenditures for the next ensuing fiscal year.”
Additionally, the staff prepared the PCDC FY24 Proposed Budget in accordance with all City requirements as per the City/ PCDC Administrative Contract. If approved, the PCDC FY24 Proposed Budget will be forwarded to the City Council for consideration on August 22.
Prior City Council Action
The PCDC board reviewed the FY24 Proposed Budget and provided comments during the PCDC Work Session on June 28. No action was taken. Additional formatting has been made to meet current City formatting. The staff made one change that was discussed with the Board at the prior meeting to add $1.2MM for infrastructure projects. Following discussion and further formatting changes by the PCDC Board and City Staff, this item has been placed on the PCDC Regular Meeting for discussion and action on August 16, 2023.
Prior to the work session, Staff met with the President and the Mayor, City Manager, and members of City staff in preparation for this requested action. The PCDC Board approved the RES 2023-003 financial policies on April 19, 2023 as required by the Bylaws pending further updates on August 16 by the board. Additionally, the budget was presented on June 20, 2023 to the City Council for a high-level overview.
