Summary
Approving a conditional purchase agreement and associated conveyance documents between The Madison Family Trust (Parcel No. 37 & 38) and the City of Pflugerville as necessary to acquire real property interests for the Secondary Colorado River Raw Water Line Project and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same.

The Secondary Colorado River Raw Water Line Project requires the acquisition of a temporary construction easement necessary to construct the project. The City’s property acquisition consultant and city staff have negotiated with The Madison Family Trust for the necessary temporary construction easement for Parcel No. 37 & 38. The cost of $106,713.00 was agreed upon, subject to City Council approval, based on appraisals obtained by the City. This item supports the sustainable structure pillar of the City’s Strategic Plan.

Easement acquisitions for the Secondary Colorado River Raw Water Line Project include a total of sixty (60) easements within parcels along the fifteen (15) mile project. Seventeen (15) parcels have been signed by property owners and pending processing to be submitted for Council approval.
Staff continues bi-weekly coordination meetings with the property acquisition agent, in addition to hosting monthly Utility coordination meetings with the utility providers for the Secondary Colorado River Raw Water Line Project.

Approval of this item will authorize the City Manager to execute the temporary construction easement and associated conveyance documents necessary for formal conveyance of the real property interests.
