Summary
Section 4.06 of the City Charter specifies that the City Manager shall appoint the head of each administrative department, subject to the approval of the City Council. The City Manager has recommended the appointment of Ms. Barron as Planning Director Ms. Barron is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) and has been a Senior Planner for the City of Cedar Park, Texas since 2007. Previous to that, Ms. Barron held various planner positions with the City of Austin. It is anticipated that Ms. Barron will start October 22. A resume summarizing Ms. Barron's qualifications is attached.
