Summary
This item is being brought forward for second reading in order to provide additional information not provided at the first reading and to seek additional guidance from Council on the request. If approved by Council on second reading, a third reading will be required. If denied on second reading, the request will be considered closed and a new application will be required for any future consideration of rezoning on this property.

The subject tract consists of one parcel being a 5.927-acre tract situated in the William Caldwell Survey No. 66. The subject tract was annexed into the city April 23, 2027 (ORD880-07-04-24). The property was rezoned to Urban Center Level 5 District October 9, 2007 (913-07-10-090). The subject tract has never been platted.

The lot is currently vacant. The applicant is seeking to rezone the subject lot to the Campus Industrial (CI) zoning district. It is anticipated that if rezoned, the subject property will be an extension of the industrial development currently under review for the property adjacent to east. Rezoning to CI would therefore allow for consistency and uniformity throughout the development.
