Approving a professional services supplemental agreement with Black & Veatch Corporation (BV), in the amount of $774,078.76 to provide Design and Bid phase services, and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same.
Summary
On April 1, 2024, City of Pflugerville selected BV to provide preliminary engineering and report phase services for the 30/24-inch State Highway 45 Pump Station Discharge Line project (WA2404). This proposed water line will run parallel to the northern frontage road of State Highway 45 and will connect the future State Highway 45 Pump Station to 960’ Pressure Zone. This project will provide additional conveyance capacity to serve growth in the 960’ Pressure Zone.
BV’s proposed scope of services includes design, survey, additional geotechnical and environmental, and bid phase services for a new 24”/30” water transmission main. This item supports the Infrastructure Pillar of the Strategic Plan. This project is currently funded within Tranche 3 of the Master Service Agreement with the WIFIA program which accounts for 49% of the entire project's funding with the remainder of the project's funding provided through a future debt issuance as outlined in the City's approved 5-year CIP.

On July 2, 2024, City Council approved a Professional Services Agreement with Black & Veatch Corporation in the amount of $342,796.30 for the 30/34-inch State Highway 45 Pump Station Discharge Line project
