The FM 685 NB and SB Frontage Roads at Kelly Lane Intersection Improvements Project includes the Northbound Left-turn and U-Turn Lane expansion on the Northbound Frontage Road and Kelly Lane & Southbound Left-turn and U-turn Lane improvements at Southbound Frontage Road at Kelly Lane consisting of dedicated Left turn lanes, U-turn lanes, and Signal Modifications: Grading, Embankment, Base, Asphalt Pavement, Drainage Structures, Signage, Signal Modifications and Pavement Markings.

Construction duration of 164 days to completion.
The goal is to provide solutions that increase capacity, improve operations and safety for vehicles and pedestrians.
The project will be funded by Roadway Impact fees and TIA escrow funds.
The improvements will enhance regional connectivity and support the Mobility Infrastructure and Connectivity Pillar of the City’s Strategic Plan by improving roadway safety, resiliency, and traffic flow.
Construction is anticipated to begin following the issuance of the Notice to Proceed, with substantial completion expected within the contract period specified in the construction documents.
Prior City Council Action
Pflugerville City Council approved a Professional Services Agreement with LJA Engineering, Inc. for $346,069.37 on professional engineering services on the project at the June 22nd, 2022, meeting.
