BWC w/TAP Plan, and utilizing the BuyBoard purchasing cooperative, in the amount of $252,040.96, and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same.
Summary
The Police Department’s current body-worn and in-car cameras have reached end-of-life and the current vendor no longer supports the current platform or hardware. This proposed agreement with Axon Enterprise, Inc. will replace the current platform and obsolete hardware with one hundred and five (105) Axon AB4 body-worn cameras and required accessories, along with unlimited and secure cloud storage. The body-worn camera plan is a five-year plan with a first year payment of $252,040.96 and a payment of $252,040.91 each year for the remaining four years, in accordance with the BuyBoard purchasing cooperative.
Prior City Council Action
On March 27, 2018 the City Council approved the purchase of the police department’s current in-car and body-worn camera platform and equipment.
