Title

Discuss and consider action to approve a supplemental agreement #2 with K Friese & Associates, Inc. in the amount of $80,130 for professional engineering services associated with modifications to plans for the Carmel/Sorento Lift Station and Force Main project and authorize the City Manager to execute the agreement.

 

Summary

This supplemental agreement provides for design modifications to previously submitted plans and estimates to accommodate a realignment of approximately 2,500 linear feet of force main per direction provided by the property owner via City staff. 

The attached agreement has been reviewed and approved as to form by the City Attorney.

Status
City staff has negotiated with K. Friese & Asssociates to establish a scope of services, schedule and fee for this supplemental agreement.

 

Prior City Council Action

K Friese & Associates, Inc. was selected as the Engineering Consultant for this project during the City Council meeting on July 9, 2013. A professional engineering services contract was presented to Council and approved on September 24, 2013. A supplemental agreement #1 in the amount of $299,430 for the Carmel Interceptor Project Phase 1 was presented to Council on April 14, 2015.

 

Fiscal Impact

This project is funded through existing utility bond funding.

 

Staff Recommendation

Staff recommends approval of the agreement.
