Summary
The Police Department’s current body-worn and in-car cameras have reached end-of-life and the current vendor no longer supports the current platform or hardware. This proposed agreement with Axon Enterprise, Inc. will replace the current platform and obsolete hardware with seventy-five (75) Axon Fleet 3A in-car cameras and required accessories, along with unlimited and secure cloud storage. The Fleet 3A camera plan is a five-year plan with annual payments of $229,713, in accordance with the BuyBoard purchasing cooperative.
Prior City Council Action
On March 27, 2018 the City Council approved the purchase of the police department’s current in-car and body-worn camera platform and equipment.
