Approving the purchase of traffic signal controllers from Paradigm Traffic Systems, Inc. in the amount of $79,750, and authorizing City Manager to execute same.
Summary
The City is currently installing an Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) to connect all of the City’s traffic signals. This enables the City to view signal status in real time, be alerted to issues, and make timing adjustments to changing traffic conditions. Many of the City’s traffic signal controllers (the equipment that runs operations at each signal locally) need to be upgraded to communicate with the ATMS system. This purchase will ensure each of the City’s signals will fully integrate with this new ATMS system.

- Approval of purchase and installation of traffic signal radios and switches required to establish communications infrastructure.
- Approval of Advanced Traffic Management System platform purchase, installation, and integration.
