Discuss and consider action to approve supplemental agreement #1 with Studio 16:19 in the amount of $202,624 for professional services associated with the design and construction administration for the Highland Park/Highland Park North Park Development (Wilbarger Park) project and authorizing the City Manager to execute the agreement.
Summary
This project includes development of a 105 acre park adjacent to the MOKAN Right of Way. This supplemental agreement is for final design and construction phase services for the Highland Park/Highland Park North Park Development Project. Phase 1 elements include a dog park, sports practice fields, grade school activity areas, trail heads, and associated parking improvements/concrete trails.
Preliminary concept plans for the project have been completed and all limitations related to topographic features, drainage issues, environmental issues and costs related to all elements to the site have been identified. Flood plain implications on the park have recently changed and will be re-examined.
Project design work will begin after execution of this agreement with preparation of plans and specifications for bidding and construction of the project. Professional consulting services include but are not limited to landscape architecture, park planning, civil engineering, environmental consulting, public engagement, structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, MEP engineering and surveying for the Highland Park/ Highland Park North project.
This agreement has been reviewed and approved by the City Attorney.
Status
City staff has negotiated with Studio 16:19 to establish a scope of services, schedule and fee for this supplemental agreement.
Prior City Council Action
