Summary
Pflugerville Heights Park and Black Locust Park are two currently undeveloped neighborhood parks that were included in the recently approved Trails Master Plan & Undeveloped Parks Study.  Pflugerville Heights Park is located in the northwest part of town in the Pflugerville Heights subdivision off of Schultz Lane.  Black Locust Park is on Black Locust Drive in the Windermere subdivision.
 
Improvements are planned according to the concept plans included in the Trails Master Plan & Undeveloped Parks Study.  Copies of the concept plans are attached to this agenda item along with the construction cost estimates for each park - Black Locust Park cost estimate is $216,275.31 and Pflugerville Heights Park cost estimate is $114,056.00 for a total of $330,331.31.
 
The park escrow fund currently has a balance of $219,572.50 and the Deutschen Pfest fund currently has $144,299.07 available. The Parks and Recreation Commission's recommendation is to use the total of Deutschen Pfest funds and $186,032.24 of park escrow funds, leaving $33,540.26 in the park escrow funds.
 
The Parks & Recreation Commission recommended the approval of these projects and use of these funds in the amount of the project estimates at their June 19, 2014 regular meeting.

The funds would be allocated and spent as described above.
