Authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement with Kennedy Consulting, Inc. for Design & Construction Phase Services for the Pflugerville Turn Lanes CIP project in an amount not to exceed $123,721.
Summary
The City of Pflugerville Engineering Department recommends Kennedy Consulting, Inc. to provide Design, Bid & Construction Phase Services for the Pflugerville Turn Lanes project. This project will construct turn lane improvements for the intersections of Grand Ave Parkway/Edgemere Drive and Picadilly Drive /Central Commerce Drive.
The project will include engineering plans,preliminary engineer’s opinion of most probable construction cost, construction phase services and construction materials testing for the intersections of Grand Ave. Parkway/ Edgemere Drive and Picadilly/Central Commerce Drive. Project and construction documents will include matching the existing pavement sections at both intersections and full reconstruction of the Picadilly/Central Commerce intersection. This project may also include the replacement and/or adjustment of existing utilities.
Preparation of the final engineering construction documents shall include items as described and outlined in the attached Professional Services Agreement and Scope of Services provided by Kennedy Consulting, Inc.
This project will be designed in accordance with the City of Pflugerville’s latest Edition of the Uniform Development Code and latest Edition of the Engineering Design Manual & Construction Standards.
Design, Bid & Construction Phase Services for the Pflugerville Turn Lanes project are to be performed for an amount not to exceed $123,721.
The City Attorney has reviewed and approved the contract as to form.
Prior City Council Action
Kennedy Consulting, Inc. was selected as the Engineering Consultant for this project on January 13, 2015.
Fiscal Impact
This project is being funded with excess bond funds.
