Summary
The Rowe Loop wastewater service extension project will provide gravity wastewater service for each property along Rowe Loop. With the addition of gravity sewer service for Rowe Loop, the Steeds Lift station will also be decommissioned and demolished as part of this project. The City spends more funding on maintenance and repair of the Steeds lift station than any other in the City. Also, the City drainage channel at the rear of the Steeds Crossing subdivision will be reconstructed to allow proper routing of drainage flows during storm events. A public open house was held on January 28th at the Pflugerville library. Staff informed the public of the project and answered questions related to the scope of the project. Construction of this entire project is anticipated to take 150 days. This engineer for this project is Binkley and Barfield.
The attached "Rowe Loop Wastewater Tabulation of Bids" includes the base bid values in which the low bidder was Rockin Q Construction. The bid received is within the estimated budget. The bid alternate for the project was not selected.
Status
The project was advertised for bids on January 26, 2015. Twelve bids were received and opened on February 19, 2015.
Fiscal Impact
The project funding is existing utility funds.
