Approving the selection of LJA Engineering Inc. for professional engineering services associated with preliminary engineering, final design, and construction phase services for the Travis County-City of Pflugerville interlocal Weiss Lane roadway project and authorizing the City Manager to enter into negotiations regarding a scope of work and fee proposal.

Summary
The City of Pflugerville solicited requests for qualifications from engineering firms to perform preliminary engineering, final design, and construction phase services for the Weiss Lane roadway Project.
This project will include engineering plans, including a preliminary engineer's opinion of most probable construction cost and construction phase services for reconstruction of a 2-lane street section with four-foot shoulders and turn lanes at major intersections of Weiss Lane, from East Pecan Street to Cele Road. This project will also include an updated bridge crossing just north of East Pecan Street. This project and construction documents are part of an interlocal agreement with Travis County. City of Pflugerville citizens approved funding for design and construction of this project as part of the November 2014 Bond Election.
Preparation of the final engineering construction documents shall include but not be limited to: topographic and boundary surveys, geotechnical investigation, hydraulics and hydrology including determination of any applicable bridge/multiple box culvert system, identification of utility conflicts, required utility adjustments and replacements, coodination with utility companies, determination of ROW/easement acquisition, preliminary and final engineer's opinion of probable construction cost, project manual and any other items necessary to successfully construct this project.
