Summary
This project provides for the installation of five luminaires and associated electrical work. The Pflugerville Community Development Corporation (PCDC) in partnership with the Pflugerville Downtown Association (PDA) purchased the lights and the City agreed to provide for the installation and maintenance. The City's construction estimate was $60,000.00 for the project. City staff is working with the PDA on alternative plans.
Status
The project was advertised for bids on February 11, 2015 and February 18, 2015 in the Pflugerville Pflag's Legal Notices. One (1) bid was received and opened on March 5, 2015 2015. Attached to this item is the list with the bid received.
Fiscal Impact
This project is funded in the General Fund Streets operating account. PCDC paid $30,000 and the PDA paid $20,000 for the purchase of the lights.
Staff Recommendation
Staff recommends rejecting the Austin Traffic Signal bid for $167,994.00.
