Approving a resolution of the City of Pflugerville, Texas to authorize submittal of the Regional Transportation Plan and Transportation Improvement Plan Amendments to the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO).
Summary
CAMPO administers the 2040 Regional Transportation Plan which includes a number of arterial streets in the Pflugerville area and has now opened a bi-annual cycle of amendments to the Plan and the fiscal years 2017-2020 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). Both of these documents are available via the CAMPO website: www.campotexas.org. Staff has coordinated with CAMPO staff and identified amendments/changes that are needed to the Plan and the TIP since these roads are funded for construction: Heatherwilde Boulevard, E. Pflugerville Parkway, E. Pecan Street, Rowe Lane and Weiss Lane.
Approving the resolution authorizes these changes to be requested and designates staff to make necessary assertions and representations on the City's behalf.
Status
Amendment requests are due to CAMPO on August 12, 2016, and will be considered for Transportation Policy Board approval at their meeting on October 10, 2016. CAMPO will administer a public comment period that runs from August 29 thru September 26, 2016, which includes a public hearing on September 12, 2016.
