Title

Presentation of statewide and national communications awards.

Summary

Pflugerville was a SAVVY finalist for the national awards competition of the City County Communications and Marketing Association (3CMA) which was held September 7-9 in San Antonio this year. The city's "Pflugerville is 50" Special Video and the "Blue Santa is Coming to Town" public service announcement were both award-winners at the national competition.

Pflugerville received two state awards of excellence from the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO) for the 2015 Year in Review Booklet and the city's Year in Review video 2015. Those awards were presented to the city in June 2016 at the annual conference in Arlington.  The Texas Association of Municipal Information (TAMI) awards is the leading recognition program in Texas honoring excellence for municipal communication strategies. The award is presented by TAMIO which includes members from municipal, county and other related agencies and organizations.

This is the third year that Pflugerville has received a national award from 3CMA and the fifth consecutive year that Pflugerville has been recognized at the statewide level.
