Title
Authorizing the City Manager to execute public utility and drainage easements between Tack Development, Ltd. and the City of Pflugerville for 0.0542, 0.0871, 0.0812, and 0.6035 acre drainage easements, and 0.1583, 0.3503, and 0.4669 acre public utility easements over, across, and through a 75.30 acre tract of land located in the Taylor S. Barnes Survey, Abstract No. 67 and the William Caldwell Survey, Abstract No. 162, Pflugerville, Travis County, Texas (generally located at the southwest corner of Pecan Street and Sun Light Near Way) for the Helios Way Project.
Summary
The Helios Way Project requires public utility and drainage easements as part of the project. Helios Way will be extended west from its intersection with Sun Light Near Way into the 75.30 acre property and turn north, becoming Biltmore Avenue as shown on the attached maps, to provide an additional access point to East Pecan Street and an alternative access to the 130 Commerce Park as well as Northeast Travis County Park. The property is located along the south side of E. Pecan Street, west of Sun Light Near Way, and northeast of the City of Pflugerville Central Wastewater Treatment Facility.
The extension of Helios Way/Biltmore Avenue is expected to be under construction in November 2016. Approval of this item will authorize the City Manager to execute these easement agreements.
The City Attorney has reviewed and approved the language for these agreements.
Fiscal Impact
This road project is funded with the 2015 Certificates of Obligation.
