Approving an agreement with RJN Group, Inc. for professional engineering services associated with the preparation of the first phase of an Inflow and Infiltration Study and authorizing the City Manager to execute the agreement.
Summary
This project will include a comprehensive analysis of extraneous flows into the wastewater collection system.
The primary role of the consultant for this phase will be to compile and analyze existing flow monitoring data and recommend priorities for projects to reduce inflow and infiltration.
This agreement has been reviewed and approved by the City Attorney.
Status
City staff has negotiated with RJN Group, Inc. to establish a scope of services, schedule and fee for this agreement.
Previous City Council Action
At the August 23, 2016 City Council meeting, RJN Group, Inc. was selected as the most qualified engineer from the firms that submitted Statements of Qualifications (SOQs.)
Fiscal Impact
Funding for this project was included as a part of the fiscal year 2016 Utility Fund operating budget.
Staff Recommendation
Staff recommends approving an agreement with RJN Group, Inc. for professional engineering services associated with the preparation of an Inflow and Infiltration Study in the amount of $149,810.00.
