Summary
This project includes the earthwork, storm drain system, water lines, landscaping and irrigation system associated with the construction of six (6) multi-purpose fields and three (3) football fields.
Schrickel, Rollins & Associates, the project’s design consultant, completed design work for this project in September.
The attached bid tabulation shows the bids in which the low bidder was $2,975,085.45. Including the accepted alternates for six feet fencing and gates results in a total of $3,028,911.45. The estimated cost of this project was $3,800,000.
Mean average for the base bids was $3,543,781.48.
Status
The project was advertised for bids on September 28, 2016. Six (6) bids were received and opened on October 13, 2016.
Fiscal Impact
Funding for this project was included in the 2014 General Obligation Bonds.

Staff recommends awarding the construction contract for the 1849 Park project to the lowest responsible bidder, Patin Construction Company, Inc., in the amount of $3,028,911.45.
