Discuss and consider action to approve a Resolution of the City of Pflugerville appointing a City of Pflugerville Representative to the Central Texas Clean Air Coalition of the Capital Area Council of Governments (CAPCOG).
Summary
In January of 2014, the Pflugerville City Council considered and passed a resolution requesting to join the Central Texas Clean Air Coalition (CAC) and on February 25, 2014, appointed Mayor Jeff Coleman to serve as the City of Pflugerville's representative. The attached resolution has been provided to change the City of Pflugerville's representative and a copy of the coalition's by-laws are attached.
Deadline for City Council Action
The coalition requests that the City of Pflugerville take action prior to the end of January 2017.
Fiscal Impact
There is no fiscal impact associated with the approval of this item.
Staff Recommendation
Staff recommends approval of the resolution appointing a City of Pflugerville representative with any City Councilmember or city staff serving as an alternate, if necessary.
