Summary
The Weiss Lane Roadway Project requires property acquisition, including the acquisition of right of way and a public utility easement necessary to construct the project. The City’s property acquisition consultant and city staff have negotiated with H.L. Weiss, Jr. and Merle A. Weiss (Parcel 7 and Parcel 9) for the needed right of way and easements. The cost of $142,241.00 for two conditional purchase agreements and two easement purchase agreements has been agreed upon, subject to City Council approval, based on appraisals obtained by the City.
Approval of this item will authorize the City Manager to execute a conditional purchase agreement, an easement purchase agreement, and associated conveyance documents necessary for formal conveyance of the real property interests.
The City Attorney has reviewed and approved the language of the purchase agreements.
Fiscal Impact
Funding for acquiring these property interests is available from the 2014 general obligation bonds.

Authorize the City Manager to execute a conditional purchase agreement, an easement purchase agreement, and associated conveyance documents between H.L. Weiss, Jr. and Merle A. Weiss and the City of Pflugerville as necessary to facilitate the conveyance of and acceptance of real property interests needed to construct the Weiss Lane Roadway Project.
