Summary

The Weiss Lane Roadway Project requires property acquisition, including the acquisition of right of way necessary to construct the project. The City’s property acquisition consultant and city staff have negotiated with James R. Bohls and Barbara Bohls (Parcel 13) for the needed right of way. The cost of $289,305.00 for the conditional purchase agreement has been agreed upon, subject to City Council approval, based on appraisals obtained by the City.

Approval of this item will authorize the City Manager to execute a conditional purchase agreement and associated conveyance documents necessary for formal conveyance of the real property interests.

The City Attorney has reviewed and approved the language of the purchase agreement.

Fiscal Impact

Funding for acquiring these property interests is available from the 2014 general obligation bonds.
