Summary
The City is proposing to amend Chapter 72 of the code of ordinances to implement a Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) zone for enforcement of speed zones for street improvement projects.
This request is specifically relating to the speed limit in the construction zone on East Pecan Street with the following boundaries: beginning at North State Highway 130 Southbound Service Road intersection and ending 2,101 linear feet east of the Weiss Lane intersection.
This ordinance has been approved by the City Attorney as to form.
Prior City Council Action
Chapter 72 regarding speed limits on city streets was last amended by the City Council on September 22, 2015.
This ordinance was approved on first reading on January 10, 2017.
