Summary
The City is proposing to amend Chapter 72 of the code of ordinances to implement a Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) zone for enforcement of speed zones for street improvement projects.
This request is specifically relating to the speed limit in the construction zone on Weiss Lane with the following boundaries: Construction zones within the City Limits spanning from the intersection of Weiss Lane and East Pecan Street to the city limit line located 715 linear feet south of the intersection of Weiss Lane and Kelly Lane.
This ordinance has been approved by the City Attorney as to form.
Prior City Council Action
Chapter 72 regarding speed limits on city streets was last amended by the City Council on January 24, 2017.
This ordinance was approved on first reading on February 14, 2017.
