Summary
The Gilleland Creek Trail project requires the acquisition of a public access easement necessary to construct a 10' hike and bike trail along the north side of Gilleland Creek from west of Heatherwilde Blvd. to east of Swenson Farms Blvd.
Approval of this item authorizes the City Manager to execute the easement and subsequently record it with Travis County. The City Attorney has reviewed and approved the language of the easement agreement.
Prior City Council Action
An agreement with S&B Infrastructure professional engineering services was approved by the City Council on July 8, 2014. The agreement with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) for a National Recreational Trails Fund grant for $172,500 was approved at the April 22, 2014 Council Meeting.
