Approving the First Amendment to the Development Agreement regarding Carmel Subdivision and authorizing the City Manager to execute the amendment.
Summary
The original Development Agreement regarding Carmel was approved in 2015. The proposed amendment is to Provision 2.3.1, which currently states the subdivision will be developed in accordance with the Unified Development Code. The proposed amendment is to allow for an exception to the architectural standards currently in place in the Unified Development Code in order to allow for historical architectural styles currently being pursued within Carmel. The proposed design requirements will allow craftsman, farmhouse and tudor revival styles. Each single family structure electing these elevations will be required to meet the elements outlined in the agreement that define each of these styles. Alternate garage designs are also included within the amendment aiding in flexibilty of the proposed architecture desired within the neighborhood.
