Summary
This project includes approximately 1.3 miles of roadway widening and improvements including pavement, storm sewer, signage, pavement markings, traffic control, and erosion control.
RPS Klotz Associates, the project’s design consultant, completed design work for this project in February. The engineer's estimate for the base bid of the project was $2,106,225.24.
The attached bid tabulation show the bids in which Cox Commercial Construction, LLC was the low bidder with a base bid of $1,896,891.30.
Mean average for the base bids was $2,186,732.13.
Status
The project was advertised for bids on February 15, 2017. Seven (7) bids were received and opened on March 9, 2017.
Fiscal Impact
Funding for this project is from the 2014 general obligation bonds and Travis County bond funds.

Staff recommends awarding the construction contract for the Rowe Lane Safety Improvement project to the lowest responsible bidder, Cox Commercial Construction, LLC, in the amount of $1,896,891.30.
