Summary
The Weiss Lane Water Transmission Main Phase 1B requires property acquisitio, including the acquisition of right of way and a public utility easement necessary to construct the project. The City’s property acquisition consultant and city staff have negotiated with Keith Weiss and Durenda Weiss for the needed right of way and easement. The cost of $85,000 for a conditional purchase agreement and an easement purchase agreement has been agreed upon, subject to City Council approval, based on negotiations between the property owner and City.
Approval of this item will authorize the City Manager to execute a conditional purchase agreement, an easement purchase agreement, and associated conveyance documents necessary for formal conveyance of the real property interests.
The City Attorney has reviewed and approved the language of the purchase agreement.
Fiscal Impact
Funding for this project is from existing bond funding in the Utility Fund.
