Summary
The City of Pflugerville advertised for bids for the Pflugerville Animal Welfare Services (PAWS) Intake Building that were opened on April 27, 2017 at 2 pm. Notices were posted in the Pflugerville Pflag as required on April 12 and April 19. The bidding process is facilitated through a plan holder website, civcast.com. A total of 10 plan holders were general contractors, but only one bid was received from Trimbuilt Construction for $2,199,878.55 and it exceeded available funds allocated for the project. The City Council previously authorized a total of $2 million for design and construction of the facility, of which approximately $1.7 million is available for construction.
Status
Staff is working with the project design team led by Quorum Architects to modify the project scope in effort to rebid the project within budget.

Future action to award a bid is anticipated within 90 days.
