Summary
The Sorento Municipal Utility District (MUD) was established in 2006 and consists of 399.73 acres intended for residential uses. In 2016, Sorento Holdings in conjunction with the City of Pflugerville acquired an additional approximate 10 acres, known as the Randig Tract, just north of the subdivision. 5.1 acres has been annexed into the city limits and included as part of the city parks system and the balance, two parcels totalling 4.64 acres, is the area that is being considered for inclusion within the Sorento MUD. This additional acreage will be subject to the development agreement in place for the property which details the requirements for development in the Sorento MUD.

Prior City Council Action
On April 11, 2017, City Council approved the addition of 4.99 acres into the Travis County MUD No. 17. After approval, the developer realized that the survey provided was incorrect and this item is provided to correct that error and request annexation of two tracts totalling 4.644 acres.

In 2006, the City of Pflugerville consented to the creation of the Travis County Municipal Utility District No. 17. (Resolution No. 889-06-07-25-10C) In 2009, in conjunction with an amendment to the development agreement to swap land to be included within MUD No. 17, the City consented to the MUD annexation of approximately 119.023 acres, referenced in the 2nd amendment to the development agreement as the PCDC tract.
