Summary
Approving this Interlocal Cooperation Agreement designates the City Manager to be the Economic Development Manager (EDM) under the agreement to serve as a representative of the ESD to present economic incentives to desirable businesses seeking to locate in Pflugerville. The agreement also provides specific duties of the Economic Development Manager as summarized below:
- responsible for communicating and negotiating economic development incentives
- receive and transmit infromation and instruction regarding economic development prospects and agreements
- report to the Parties as requested and as needed to inform each regarding economic development prospects and incentives
- provide proposed economic development incentive agreements for discussion, negotiation, and finalization.
The agreement further provides that the EDM has proposal authority only,and does not have the authority to obligate or otherwise enter into any contracts or agreements under this agreement.
The initial term shall be for a 12-month term and automatically renew annually, unless otherwise terminated at any time by either party.
