Approving an ordinance on second reading with the caption reading: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PFLUGERVILLE, TEXAS, ADOPTING THE THIRD AMENDMENT TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2017 BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF PFLUGERVILLE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
Summary
During the fiscal year it becomes necessary to amend the approved budget to allow for expenditures and revenues that were not included in the approved budget. At the January 24, 2017 meeting, City Council approved two roadway overlay projects for 2017, Grand Avenue Pkwy. and Lynn Cove. An excerpt from the minutes of that meeting is attached to this agenda item. The total cost of these projects exceeds the $800,000 included in the original fiscal year 2017 budget. This budget amendment in the amount of $800,000, funded from fund balance, will provide the necessary funding for these projects.
This ordinance has been approved as to form by the City Attorney's Office.
Prior City Council Action
The fiscal year 2017 budget was approved on September 27, 2016. The first and second amendments to the 2017 budget were approved on March 28, and May 23, 2017, respectively.
This ordinance was approved on first reading on July 11, 2017.
