1849 Park project update and discussion.
Summary
Staff will present the current draft of the 1849 Park Master Plan Report and provide an update on construction of Phase 1A, design of Phase 1B and the next steps for the project.
Phase 1A is currently under construction and includes mass grading of the first phase of the site, storm sewer, site utilities, an irrigation pond, installation of irrigation and sod for three (3) practice pods and three (3) football fields and fencing for the practice pods.
Phase 1B will include the remaining first phase improvements. Those are the access drives, parking lots, two (2) restroom/pavilion buildings, two (2) playgrounds, sports lighting, entry and wayfinding signage and irrigation and landscape improvements for this phase. Phase 1B is currently going through the Site Development Permit process and should go out for bids in August. Estimated completion of the first phase of the project is spring 2018.
Attached is the current draft of the Master Plan Report and associated appendices (Archaeological & Historical Investigation, Architectural Documentation Report, Wilbarger Creek & Floodplain Study and Traffic Impact Analysis).
