Summary
This item was placed on the March 11, 2017 agenda during discussion at the February 28, 2017 regular meeting at the request of Councilmember Jeff Marsh. On March 11, 2017, the City Attorney provided information to the councilmembers and stated that the item could be discussed at a future meeting. At the March 28, 2017 council meeting, Mr. Marsh requested that the item be placed back on the agenda. The item was discussed at the April 11, 2017, April 25, 2017 and May 9, 2017 worksessions. At the May 23, 2017 regular meeting consideration of the ordinance was postponed.
The City Attorney has provided a proposed ordinance for review and consideration. The ordinance is approved as to form and is attached.
The ordinance was approved on first reading on August 8, 2017.
