Appreciation presentation to the Finance and Budget Committee for review of the Fiscal Year 2018 budget.
Summary
This item has been included on the agenda at the request of Councilmember Mike Heath. Committee members Ms. Melody Ryan (chair), Dr. Anthony Ross (financial expert), Ms. Beatriz Flores, Councilmember Jeff Marsh, and Ms. Meredith Quick spent many hours reviewing previous, current and the future fiscal year 2018 proposed budget. They met as a group with various department heads to discuss departmental spending. Since January of 2017, the Finance and Budget Committee has also assisted staff with the review and selection of the City's banking services provider, the selection of the independent auditor, review of the investment policy, and 2016 annual audit.
