Summary
This project provides for plan preparation and installation of a temporary traffic signal at the intersection of Vilamoura Street/Falcon Pointe Blvd. and Kelly Lane. A permanent signal will be installed with the future widening of Kelly Lane at the intersection.
Status
At the September 26, 2017 City Council worksession, Mr. Chad Wood, Senior Transportation Engineer, presented an analysis of temporary solutions for the Vilamoura Street/Falcon Pointe Blvd. and Kelly Lane intersection. Council requested that an item be placed on the October 10, 2017 agenda to approve this installation.
Fiscal Impact
The design, construction and installation is anticipated to cost $175,000. The funding for this project is from 2016 Certificates of Obligation issue.
Staff Recommendation
Staff recommends approving the installation of a temporary traffic signal at the intersection of Vilamoura Street/Falcon Pointe Blvd. and Kelly Lane.
